Problems with Pick n Pay Asap! service

The issue is the delivery fee of (I think) R35.00

I used to subscribe to the R99 extra save that gave me free delivery on R350.00 or more. I used to do more frequent shops, so having no fee was great.

Now over a month I need to watch it as I can rack up R250+ in delivery fees easy
Use the Grocery Delivery Thread for codes

You get it back yes

Not to be a cantankerous old fart, but getting it back kind of implies they refund you. But when you place an order the amount sits in “pending” and the actual amount (minus the items out of stock) is taken once the order is delivered.

For me this took about 3 or 4 days before my R940 in ‘pending’ disappeared and the actual amount (less the bog roll they never had) of R760 showed up under ‘paid’.

Yeah I know it's BS this reserved amount. Will see mine is a big "order" but the stupid app kept crashing while trying to pay. After reserving the amount it kept telling me something went wrong over and over.
So let's see how long it takes to pay that back cause that was part of the monthly shopping.

We switched from Checkers Sixty60 to Pick n Pay Asap — and it's been disappointing

We have been using Pick n Pay Asap! for two months and have had more issues with the service than in five years of using Checkers Sixty60.

As FNB customers, we bought groceries at Shoprite Checkers and used its Sixty60 service to earn eBucks starting in 2020.
I have had a similar experience. I'm totally devastated that we have been forced to shop at Pick n Pay because of eBucks.
I've now made 5 purchases and each order has been a nightmare.
From leaking bottles, broken bags, changing delivery times because they are late, to a missing order that was delivered 30 hours later. I've had to reorder and pay again.
I continuously have out of stock orders, especially with products on special. I'm really very disappointed with the difference in service between the 2 companies. Might I also mention that they are far more expensive and can't compete with Che2ckers.
eBucks, bad move on your part.

You're not forced, they are not holding a gun to your head. If you want the same output that you got from checkers go to Spar.

Funny people on here are saying you're not forced to shop there.

They have had free delivery codes going for the last three months...
TAPFRESH ... works all May.
(Newest (BETA) app. - another code for the old app).

Have used both:

Checkers - within 60 minutes, can change things while they are picking, quick support, refunds easy.

PNP - that day, maybe. support takes a week or so. refunds, not a ****ing chance. also pretty sure they "dont have stock of items" to force you to have wallet credit and shop their again (I am aware you can apparently request the wallet credit to sent to your bank, but shock horror, the app wouldn't let me do that).

I quite honestly would not wish PNP ASAP on my worst enemy.

That doesn't work for me :/

I used TAPFRESH2025 ... but that doesn't work anymore either :/

Are you using the new beta app which the TAPFRESH works on, no 2025.

The new app resolves the wallet problem by reserving the amount and you're refunded it after delivery... Well after they decide to take their money anyway.

Do you get money back for missing items?

I logged a ticket and they acknowledged - but I’m wondering if that’s the end.
So my ticket about my missing items was replied to.

They didn’t even mention the missing items in their reply … just that they are sorry feedback took so long & they are closing the ticket. It feels like a full paragraph was missed

Thank you for getting in touch with PnP ASAP!

Please accept our sincere apologies for the feedback delay on your query due to higher than usual volumes received.

Kindly note that we will be closing off this interaction.

Should your complaint still be unresolved, please feel free to reply to this closed ticket with your order number and we will be happy to assist.”

I've got to leave for a work function @ 13.10 ... and just realised I needed a few things .

I hopped onto to ASAP & reluctantly placed my order ... with a delivery time of 12:30-13:00. It's tight - so I cancel (PNP charge me anyway) and then hop on Checkers to place the same order.

Order placed at 11.39 and arrived at my door at 11.52 ... all of 13 minutes

ASAP is not great but at least Mr D delivers PicknPay, and with Takealotmore at least the delivery is free over R350.

But I must say Checkers has a nicer selections of ready made lunches and cakes, and their sushi is cheaper and tastier, so shopping isn't exclusive to PicknPay. Also the specials do outweigh the eBucks benefits at times.

My app it is broken. Supposed to reserve it but asap's integration with my bank's card has issues.
