Problems with your connection after reaching your "cap"?

I don't care what WBS say about up to 64kbits/s when crapped, if it is going to be less than that then I foresee a lot of iBursters jumping ship in favour of ADSL - there really isn't any point struggling with less than guaranteed 64kbits/s local when you get full speed local on ADSL.

Naturally WBS need to figure out whether it is in their best interests to advertise up to 64kbits/s when crapped & instead consistently supply speeds a fraction of a 56kbits/s dialup modem.

Yeah I tend to agree ic. My connection doesn't even make it up to 32k nevermind 64k. I don`t mind the cap but don't kill the connection after the cap has been reached, it irretates me when myadsl takes 1 minute to load. It basically makes the internet un-usable - which will not be agreeable with a lot of consumers. I am waiting for `Tuesday fix` as well, at least make webpages load faster. ATM my 56k modem is faster than my 1mbit Iburst.

Oh, you bet I am. Been capped since Thursday. I'm not disconnecting anytime soon as the cap will kick in again . It seems to only happen during the day.

Today (12am - now) = 2.64GB
Yesterday = 4.2GB

Before the 'slowdown' I wasn't downloading anything, just surfing. Right now I feel like downloading the internet cause I was so pissed off on Tuesday & Wednesday . Remember I was bitching so much about my slow connection?

I'm waiting for slimothy to come online so I can (slimothy willing) download from him.

The cap works I guess. I had to keep disconnecting & reconnecting last night to get full speed.

Ok...well i think this is the mysterious 'problem' again...well all our speeds have been bellow that of capped during the day...we will see on tuesday/wednesday if this is permanent. I personally think they are doing a peak/off-peak effort, that only really allows you to download at night. My problem is that this is more of a business connection i have...i need to use it during the day! Well we will see next week...oh yeah dont forget to keep an eye on the telkom hearing this week!

Where will it be on what channel, I want to see this, Well I cant download. I think its this bandwidth monitor system, it was not programmed right or something. I could be mistaken just taking a guess. yeah rebel i remember u were bitching but at least ur connection works

My capped speeds vary between 0.8 and 3.5 KB/s according to DUmeter. Thats an average, and just browsing web pages. Speeds do seem to improve during the night.

Edit: It looks like you also ping out when you are capped - what I mean is your ping goes for a ball of s**t. I can't play CS:Source when capped, very laggy on SAIX.
