Oi! Leave me out of this...
You then need multiple fixture points to combat that problem i reckon...

I tightened mine rock solid - and it still drops slowly over a day or two because of my systems low bass level and vibrations![]()
Sounds to me like the leaver which adjusts the tilt may not be tight enough. It should either be in the upright position or down. If its in the centre it loosens it. Make sure its tight. You should not even be able to move your projector if its tight.
What about a wooden frame rather than border tape?Yesterday I finally got round to assembling the frame - the screen itself will be 2.70m x 1.52m (diagonal 3.1m) - I've added 11cm on the four sides of the frame for black border tape*. Giving me a frame dimension of 2.92m x 1.74m. I'll post a picture of the frame later today.
French Cleats? http://www.hometheatershack.com/for...read-data-detailed-information.html#post28511I still have to figure out how to mount the frame so its easily removable - and attach the screen material - hopefully by next weekend I'll be done with watching movies on an oak coloured wall.

I see. I suspect also that a wooden frame might be reflective if the picture falls outside the size of the frame.I'm using material as the screen - so it wraps around the wooden frame and is stapled to the back.
Also - I think the black tape also serves to illuminate/reduce any light bleeding on the edges.
Well otherwise it's just good old picture frame wire and some screws/brackets.Thanks - I'll look into that. I don't think the screen is going to weigh more than 10kg.
Yeh - thinking of just putting screws in the wall and hanging the frame off of them --- just don't want it falling and damaging the screen - or my speakers/subs.
do you know if they're available here? (haven't seen them in Builders Warehouse)
Have not gone looking, but if you know someone with a bit of handyman skills it shouldn't be to hard to make. These metal ones looked nice: http://www.govart.com/hardware_cleat.html
Here's the frame

Nice. Have you got one with the cloth over it as well?
What did all the parts set you back in cost and time?
Couldn't find the french cleats - but found something they use on mirrors, its basically a screw into the wall and a hanger on the back of the frame - I've had to modify it slightly. The sales guy said it'll hold 70kg - I'm skeptical
I'm going to put two on the top and two at the bottom for support... hold thumbs - the plan is to do it tonight.
