Superfluous? From what I understand these solar water heaters are intended to preheat the water before it enters the conventional heaters thereby greatly reducing the amount of electricity required.The solar heaters are then superflous - they still make no sense, and the argument is still not helped.

Ok - lets ignore that hotels using solar water heating is not a new thing and you can help me to understand why the water going from the solar heater to the geyser will chill to such an extent that it will be useless.Again, by the time they get to the geysers they are cold. Long pipes, remember.
And the circulation thing is already proven to be a difficult thing, as the solar geysers will empty.
So, no, I do not yet buy the explanation.

Just as the hot water eventually makes its way from the geyser to the tap it will do likewise on the way to the heater.Because, as I said in the first post on this point, the water will cool down in the pipes - in the same way it does in a house where the pipes are far from the geyser.
