Proteas vs Zimbabwe: October 2010

Not our greatest performance in the field, but clinical batting. Could've chased down 200 easily the way they were going. Nice!

SA vs Zimbabwe: 2nd Pro20 International from Diamond Oval, Kimberley

SA team: Graeme Smith, Loots Bosman, JP Duminy, Colin Ingram, David Miller, Robin Petersen, Johan Botha (capt), Heino Kuhn (wk), Wayne Parnell, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Rusty Theron

I don't like this batting lineup. Robin Peterson in at 6 means that we don't bat very deep.

Proteas 194-6 after 20 overs
(Duminy 96*, Smith 46, Miller 25)

Zimbabwe 186-7 off 20 overs
(Taylor 59, Chibhabha 59)

SA win by 8 runs and win the Pro20 series 2-0.

Coveniently certain people like JK8 and the like disappeared when the above happened
hahaha JK8 didn't have much choice. He's been banned... Great to see JP get some runs. Keep his detractors quiet for 20 minutes...

Good performance from the boys. Zim batted well and I am still a bit worried about our bowling but overall it was a good outing.

Parnell is not fully fit yet.
Dale Steyn, Morne/Albie Morkel and Kallis must return.

He isn't match fit. Its only his third game since his comeback. Played one four day game for ep in the amateur league and these 2 20/20 games. Kallis maybe back but I don't think they will risk steyn or morkel.

Thing is that they must bet Steyn and the 2 Morkels (+ Kallis) onto the park as we leave for Pakistan in a few weeks time.

There is no reason to risk them for the zim odi's. We know what steyn, morne and kallis can do. Much for important to have them fit for the tests vs pakistan and india and the wc.

Albie will be fit for the odi's vs zim.

And who said that Amla wasn't suited to ODIs? 86 runs at a strike rate of 130 :D
