Protesters burn down Mpumalanga mall

Today they burn stuff. Tomorrow they will be burning people. It's only a matter of time before history repeats.

Thugs have taken over service delivery protests

Always an excuse to justify the actions. Did not see anything about protesters trying to stop said thugs. You and thechamp must be real proud right now. Your buddies are realy making statements.

Seems they are very unhappy with who they vote for, but they keep rewarding them with votes...

Probably. And given that the protests are in part encourage by members of the party they vote for in their jostle for positions, they will vote in the same party. By the way, they are protesting for the firing of the acting municipal manager who they blame for lack of services such as frequent power cuts, ballooning Eskom/Rand Water debt and the fact that the guy is not a local (a hint that this is being stoked by local politicians wanting the position). If you see the list of demands on that ridge times you'll see they weren't written by a mob.

So the protesters are not thugs, as ForceFate wants us to believe. This was a well organized action.

What makes you think I support anarchy? Because I disagree with far right views?

protesters gathered outside eMbalenhle Police Station to demand the release of those who were arrested for public violence, business burglary and theft yesterday afternoon.
Not sure I understand the mindset.

So the community doesn't want their police to do their job?

Yes. In europe

You obviously have never been to other parts of the country. If you rely on mainstream media for good news, then I understand why you hold the view that peace and order is only in Europe.

I'm part of a consulting team to build a structure (I'll call it that for now :)) in that area. During a tender briefing to contractors some time ago, local business forum community members disrupted the meeting demanding that only local contractors be appointed. It wasn't violent, but they meant business. The project has been halted until a solution is reached.

I don't blame the guys, but a local contractor shouldn't be appointed if they can't do a particular job. Local subcontractors should be appointed if they are required to paint, build brick walls, etc, as those tasks are basic.
