Proxy Server,Tunneling and WoW.

To comment publicly on that, my test was great. (same performance as lowerping & gamepath)

280-300ms most of the time (it did go to 380-400ms there for a while like 2am Sat night, but I think time might have been line/acct cause)

No DC's @ all so far on Onyxia 25 & VOA 25
(saved on TOGC etc so cannot test that atm)

Personally I'm very happy with the test acct
 
Great latency and no DC's even in both 10 and 25 raids.

Def worth it if people want it.
 
Well telkom guy came out today and was really helpfull. Main problem on my line was low SNR and he says this was causing errors. So checked the line between my house and the box down the street, says it was perfect D: So then he went to check from the exchange and said he'll get back to me tomorrow.

But yea long story short, as soon as this mess is sorted out I'll PM you and I'll gladly help test :P
 
Ran some 25 mans.. no dc`s. First time like ever since I arrived in this country. Brilliant service avert.

Basically if someone farted in our raid group before I would get chain disconnects. For some reason as soon as things got busy I couldnt login until at least half the raid had wiped.

Now I am able to 25 man raids. There is clearly still something wrong with my internet connection.. I think it has to do with throughput instead of shaping (which I had troubles with before).

I dont disconnect anymore.. my worst case scenario is that my fps drops terribly.. but thats a hellavalot better then disconnecting non-stop. I can basically play all the game.

My latency from the far east is always in the green (where it was normally above 1000ms before).

It has really really helped me a lot.
 
dont use anything on my wow and get constantly 227 to 350 ping using imaginet semishaped so when i try lowerping and others it makes my ping go super high :P would expect it to drop it even more

Latency for me 2night has been some bit more than its been the whole weekend. Not sure whats the cause. u know how it goes here in SA
 
noticed that also earlier was going to 450 or so but think its just servers needing their maintenance

seems alright now running 250 - 350 must have been something busy somewhere

This has been working great for me sofar, ill probabaly test it in 25 man tonight.
Btw, how many test accounts are currently running on this box now
 
its up to 9 now.

Also a reminder that you can tunnel any other game through gordon. Theoretically it should work, I just dont play any other game besides WoW. So let me know in regards to that

Would be really interested in trying this out as well. I have some real decent latency with my normal connection at the moment (280-345ms). An improvement is always nice though :D
 
gordons running at half capacity now, let me know how your 25mans are going. I'm really most interested in that
 
Trying it out, from shaped account normal ping = 750ms, tunneled = 370ms
From unshaped account normal = 450ms , tunneled = 250ms.
Ran in 25 man last night seemed a bit more spikey then usual, often quite lagged.
I'll keep testing...
 
Is there an app can you use on W7 64bit instead of sockscap? Sockscap doesn't seem like it's compatible?
 
I use FreeCap for that

Just an update, I seem to be a bit more unstable using this proxy in 25 mans :(
Thats really a bummer, seems like i have to raid without proxies in 25 man raids and get used to having around 150-200ms higher response.. Really hate that. Thinking of upgrading my line to see if that makes any difference
 
A bit of feedback regarding this "service".

So i sent a PM to Avert, so i can get a trial username and pass, and he very promptly got back to me.
Just fired it up, on my Vodacom HSDPA connection.

At first, the latency was showing extremely high numbers, and that never went away.
The catch is... ITS NOT HIGH!
The game responds EXTREMELY FAST, and lag is almost non-existant so far.
Even though the latency reads high, the performance is actually top notch.
If i had to estimate the REAL latency, i would say in the regions of 200-350ms.

Heres the real deal-maker... i play on US server, not EU.
NONE of the other services ive tried so far have come even close to these results.

You just let us know what you had in mind for pricing once this kicks full-swing and im sure i will MAKE space in the budget for it.

Agreed, I did pretty much the same...

Logging in on an HSDPA connection, my ping was displayed as 967ms

My Quartz cast bar was displaying 300-350ms during casts though

After about 30-45min, ping was displayed as 326ms and didn't spike

Awesome service, Gordon is my new hero :D
