PS3 in a Death Spiral

I'll have to agree with you on this one diabolus. From what I've heard, making games for the PS3 is quite complicated compaired to the Xbox360. It's because the PS3's hardware is so powerful.:D But I fear that this might discourage game developers and cause them to rather make more games for the 360. And from what you saying about the games=console relation Sony better make sure that there'll be more games coming!

Truth be told i cant wait to see what happens when They develop a game that can Draw out the PS3's full potentiol!

Wait i know! We would have a another thread where some thinks that the 360is still superior!:p

Nobody doubts that Sony is desperate to bring down the manufacturing cost of the PS3, but perhaps we didn't realise until now quite how desperate the firm really is. The European model (and presumably future shipments in the US and Japan) will also feature a new chassis which is cheaper to build, which is exactly the kind of under-the-hood cost saving one expects from a console firm - but the fact that Sony is so keen to save costs on building the PS3 that it's willing so strike out functionality which it has boasted about quite openly for a couple of years comes as a surprise, and a disappointment.

European consumers, quite rightly, feel shafted by the decision. They are already facing a console launch months later than promised, and at a price point much higher than consumers in North America and Japan are being asked to pay - a price disparity which Sony has still completely failed to justify, even once taxes and fluctuating exchange rates are taken into account.

That took a while for myself to notice! thank you in anyways!

People have there Opinion's about The PS3 and so forth, but it come across that your trying to force yours down other Readers Throats. If you dont like the PS3 or sony! Well then thats your Opinion. leave others alone! Just because they do, it dont make them anything less! Because you say otherwise!:mad:
 
It's got nothing to do with my emotional ties to Sony, but everything to do with watching people soak up and spew out garbage fed to them by sales trolls, when there is a mountain of evidence to the contrary. They should at least show some reservation.

It's also probably got to do with the fact that I've had 3 hours sleep and I'm still at work at 6pm on a Friday :(
 
Well I for one have already put my deposit down on a ps3. And yes, I have been following all 3 consoles closely from when they were just rumours. An XBox 360 just does not suit me, the games just remind me of PC games too much and I already have one of those.....

The first 2 games I am buying are Resident Evil 4 and FFXII, just hope they play :mad: . To be honest I was real close to cancelling my order when I heard Sony was shafting us European continents with the backward compatibility stuff, but after reading that there should be at least 1000 ps2 compatible titles come launch day I cooled down a little. The two I want to play are main titles so they should work .... Anyways I'm not surprised Sony shafted us, we South Africans get shafted by everybody....
