Hi, i need some help. I have a 3g modem (8ta 10 Gig promo) with a 3 g router (Zyxel NBG4115) when i try and connect the PS3 it picks up an IP address but i have no internet connection and i can't play online.. is there something special that needs to be done in order for this to work ? I have posted on www.ps3.co.za but no one has bothered to get back to me ?

Thanks

Nothin special should be needed, the connection should work with a router. Khanya's suggestion won't work by the way. If all else fails just connect the ps3 with a cable

i am connected via ethernet at the moment, my problem is my new house i've moved to is in a very bad area in terms of ADSL and my connection keeps on dropping .. it has been more down than up.. hence me wanting to do it via the router to solve the problem and for me to tell telkom to take a hike...

You shouldnt be so negative towards the PS3 forum have you searched for answers ????

Theres NUMEROUS threads on different solutions..............

Im very active on the PS3 forums how can I help ?

Im using the B970 router with my PS3 and it connects using the ethernet cable, BUT I have also used it wirelessly in my house

When you go to settings what options are you choosing ?

The ps3 can be funny when using automatic DNS settings let us know what DNS settings you using.

Thank you very much, I have searched on PS3 forum and all solutions refer to working via a laptop. I don't want to connect via a laptop or ADSL as i want to get rid of Telkom totally... i will try this and see if it works.. if not, then i guess i have no option...
