PS5

Can someone explain to me how the online game store works, like how does it compare to the old days of buying game discs?

I have a ps3, all my games are on disc - so this new digital PS5 where you don't buy games is new to me.

Cost wise and so on, is it a good move? Or any reason to stick to discs?

From local stores you can buy digital game codes that you redeem on the PS Store or you can buy the digital game on the PS Store. You can buy from international sites but just make sure it will work your PS region.

There are limitations to this method for example you cannot share games with friends or play your favorite Blu-ray movies.

The games are identical to their physical counterparts.

Prices are pretty much in line. However, the specials are more likely on the physical discs rather than the digital versions
 
physical discs, now that's a blast from the past. i'm also a digital only kinda guy. resell games? why? picked up quite a few good deals on digital, imho much cheaper than physical,faster and never gets damaged.

I am only buying the disc version coz most of my games on the ps4 were gifts and thus discs. And don't have PSN on the ps4 currently.
 
So other than using ps5 as a blue ray player, there's very little reason to buy the optical version

i also bought the ps5 disc edition, only one available at the time. nothing wrong with discs mate. i just dont use em. my ps4 is still in its region free mode. never had a disc in.
 
Anyone hooked up their PS5 to a Samsung Q70T? Any recommended settings? How does it perform?

Still waiting for delivery of both.

Didn't know it stays region free if you never insert a disc. lol. Very cool. I got around 10-15 physical games on PS4 and would want to use them on my PS5.

Still seems like I will be waiting till next year for a PS5 as no body has stock. Game confirmed that no stock will reach stores as warehouse will distribute directly to pre-orders. Musica is all out.

try btgames too, they may have some in dec. i heard something along those lines when collecting

I'm having problems trying to connect. Servers keep on timing out.
 
no problems here, you could do the old dns jiggy jig. flick between quad 8 or quad 1 ?

Planning to buy a ps5 on StockX next year, seems will be cheaper there convert to Rand.
