PS5

My boy want a PS5 when stock is available next year. His main reason is better fps on games like Fortnite etc.
So will any 1080p 144hz monitor work with the PS5 or do you need some special monitor? I have a 27" 1080 144Hz with usb 2.0 that he wants, will that work?

As far as I know, the monitor needs to support HDMI 2.1 which allows for 1080p at 120Hz

Just got a call from Koodoo saying my ps5 will be delivered first thing this morning. Sounds like Koodoo are delivering it themselves as the guy who phoned said he’s coming through to my place.

Yup in JHB. Received at 1130. Literally an employee in his personal car with 5 or so PS5s driving around JHB. All set up and sorted now. Too keen

Excellent. Those of us waiting for the 2nd batch at least now have confirmation that the shipment has cleared.

Unheard of until now kind of customer service. I shall be giving Koodoo business in the new year that is for sure. More reasons but this is something.

Onething i am battling with is getting extended warranty from Game. What is Koodoo's process to do the same if they offer? I feel this isn't discussed much and is important for this and the other new system launched.
 
I’m not sure Koodoo has the necessary FSP licence to offer a financial product like an extended warranty.

If you want another reason to support Koodoo, I pre-ordered Spider-Man and they threw in the box the original Spider-Man DVD as well as another kids DVD which my boys can watch...

I went passed a games4u and a makro yday and they both had the headsets in stock so try physical stores not online stores and phone in advance for incase
 
Everybody seems to be getting their PS5's. I am still waiting for Takealot to confirm date for the 3rd preorder. Still hoping to get it this week...

Daaam. Sorry man. Guess most of us are in the same boat. Just hoping to get it sometime soon.

On the flip side, I bought an extra controller from Takealot as it is on special as posted above. Not bad at all. Cheapest I have seen it thus far. Should get it on Wednesday so will walk around my house with the PS5 controller while still waiting for the console. lol
