PlayStation 5 Disc Drives Are Selling Out
Sony’s standalone PlayStation 5 disk drive has been selling out online since the announcement of the PlayStation 5 Pro earlier this week. When the PlayStation 5 originally launched in 2020, it came in two different versions: a standard console with a built-in optical disk drive and a digital-only model that was offered at a somewhat lower price. Late last year, Sony released an attachable disk drive for the PS5 Digital Edition console, allowing gamers who initially picked up the disk-free version to play physical 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, Blu-ray discs, and DVDs on their system.

Why would anyone be surprised at this?
Developers will still have the choice to target graphical fidelity over 60fps.

Astrobot is a monumentally good game on all fronts.
I just can't stop being surprised by it and some of the challenge levels are legitimately hardcore too so there is something for everyone here.

I'll wait for em to perfect PSSR and RT features, and buy the PS6 with them in 4 years time
I suppose the real question is whether the original PS5 will play GTA6 very well or not.

Rockstar never really stuffed up their releases. I have no reason to believe that it will have any issues running properly. The Pro will probably just run it better...

Seeing that I was on the edge of updating my launch PS5 to a slim model, this might just be the one to get to park next to my 20th aneversery Xbox Series X.
IE I have no choice, must buy
