I've been following the thread in order to find out where I can get my hands on a unit. I've registered everywhere and am receiving the notifications now. I however secured a unit with Makro's drop on 8th.

I'm happy to remove the post. I was trying to help those who are still trying to secure a unit, but understand your concern.

Nexus Hub is an official distributor per PS website. No harm or foul play intended here.

Has anyone gotten an update on their second drop of pre-orders?

Saw that some websites are saying they expect the third drop in the week of after Xmas (if you pay before 15th) and others saying early Jan 2021.

There isn't single retailer that's been able to solidly confirm when they will be receiving their 2nd stock with any degree of confidence.

Gah I was going to ask if anyone who ordered a second drop of PS5 at Koodoo (or anyone) had received theirs yet.

Delivery was between 16 and 20 AFAIK although not guaranteed.

Edit: just phoned Koodoo - the orders still on track for them to receive between 16th and 20th, and will ship from next week.

That is disappointing. They were supposed to deliver between the 16th and 20th - not receive stock.

I have been on Takealot refreshing my order everyday hoping it shows shipped earlier. Think mine is third batch though as they said 31st December but date to be confirmed. Is it me or does the wait seem to feel longer?

Based on the 2nd drop only landing this week (the week they advertised) and that deliveries will only take place next week, my guess is that 3rd drop deliveries will only take place in the first full week of Jan.

Koodoo just emailed saying the ship with the PS5 is landing on the 17th. So the call centre guy that gave me the above info was correct - we will receive next week.

Enquired with Makro and was advised that deliveries and collections expected from 17 December but must wait for notification from Makro if collecting.

Yep, this is SA's 2nd drop shipment so it applies to all 2nd drop orders. Koodoo is the eCommerce side of the distributors for all PS wares in SA.

Dude I've been doing the exact same thing. I'm hoping they ship a week early.
