PS5 DualSense Could Get Possible Upgrade With Haptic Feedback Analogue Sticks, Suggests Patent
Sony Interactive Entertainment has filed a patent indicating the PS5 DualSense controller may receive an updated version that includes haptic feedback analogue sticks.The new patent suggests that the controller could receive an upgrade that features non-Newtonian fluids to allow for hydraulic resistance for the analogue sticks. However, as with any patent, this doesn’t necessarily mean that such an upgrade will happen; like any company, Sony files many patents, not all of which come to fruition.
If you’re wondering exactly what non-Newtonian fluids is all about, it essentially refers to a fluid that changes viscosity when put under force. The idea is that the DualSense could have analogue sticks that retract into the body of the pad, and pushing it down will create a level of resistance like the adaptive triggers.

Update: Ordered Thurs, Shipped Fri, Arrive Mon.
Popped it in now, formatted and moved a few titles around to free up some room on the internal storage and to take advantage of a few PS4 titles that benefit from fast storage.

Had my originals replaced under warranty ... the new ones are now seriously acting up

Never experienced drift on my PS4 controllers either. I had one from launch and one when I upgraded to the Pro. Neither had any signs of it.I must say, the Dualsense controllers are the worst of the lot. Stick drift is crazy on these controllers (on my second set already). My PS4 controllers had stick drift, but never this bad
My one launch DS recently showed some minor intermittent drift on the left stick. I took the controller apart and cleaned the stick internals with an earbud and IPA. Seems to be fine now.

Oh, and by the way: if you have controllers replaced under warranty from Partserve, the new controllers don't come with a new warranty ... your original Date of Purchase is the start date for the new controller's warranty
