PS5

People had voiced concerns about NieR Automata back when it launched too

My parry timing is way off because I've been playing Rise of The Ronin this past few weeks but as luck would have it the parry timing in Stellar Blade is quite forgiving.

It's a good game. But needs polish. For example if you want to upgrade the weapon or the drone and you don't have enough materials it takes you out of the menu and back into the game so you have to speak to the NPC again or enable the repair console.

The parkour also sucks. It doesn't connect always well. For example there is a section of wall running and then a gap and then a rope you have to grab and I'm personally struggling with that. I've died many times here. The boss fights are not as bad as the first demo boss. I don't know if they lower difficulty but after a few tries you can actually defeat the boss.

The dialogs and mannerisms are typical Korean/Japanese. You have your genki characters (mechanic girl) and your neutral monotonous dude and the MC is entirely devoted to helping humanity. Although there is a little occasional banter thrown in. The atmosphere is pretty serious.

To get the DLC I had to "restore licenses".

It's a very nice game. I just wish the parkour was easier to do or was also nerfed as is the combat in the story mode.

Lmao the day 1 patch DID censor the bunny suit. And they bragged on twitter how they censored nothing.

Man I miss consoles less and less as days goes by.

Sony pulled the same **** with DMC5.

Knew this was going to be too good to be true from Sony.

If you want to see a bit of skin so bad, can always go physical:

I know it sucks to censor sadly we live in a world where

US sees porn bad, blood OK
Europe See pron ok, blood bad
JP Everything excluding privates OK, Blood Bad

Cultures not the same.

I'm impressed the gore not beeing censored

Will they be there next week though? Are you sure?

It's not about pixels. It's about what was done before an exchange of money and what was done after.

Its about a company bragging on twitter how their R18 game is uncensored just 4 days ago yet here we are and it is censored today 4 days later.

I'm not playing the game. I'm not invested in it. I game on PC. I can see 2B ass playing Sekiro.

I simply find it funny how easily sheeple are won over nowadays.

Here my thoughts so far:

For the complaints.
Stellar blade's story is a bit underwhelming and Eve is just a playable lifeless NPC. Parkour can also be janky at times but it doesn't bother me too much.

Now, for the good.
The enemy designs are so well done and diverse enough to satisfy my hunger. The combat is absolutely sublime and the skill tree is pretty decent as well.

When it comes to boss fights, they really knocked it out of the park. Again, these designs are so damn good and finishing off each boss is more satisfying than the last (even though
Eve moans the same way when finishing each differentboss
).

Then finally, the amazing soundtrack that plays and changes throughout the game, depending on fights, where you're exploring etc. It just ties everything together perfectly.

The good far outweighs the bad for me and I'm happy I pre-ordered the game.
Oh yeah, performance is also solid.

Anybody on PS+ (Extra or Premium) managed to download Fallout 4 with next-gen update?

Not sure the status, getting conflicting posts all over saying it's not available, but then some are saying it's not available only for PS+ Essential.

PS: I would check but wife hogging the TV.

Donno if this is fixed yet.

Alrighty...

Fallout 4 with the next-gen patch is available for PS+ Extra and Premium. It's super fun playing from the start again

Pretty much my sentiments as well. I'm only about 5hrs in...just arrived at Xion. Characters and story is pretty negligible for me personally, but the gameplay is so good, I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would, even after spending like 5hrs just in the demo alone. I think the day one patch tightened up some sluggishness with input I picked up in the demo. Combat opens up more as well as you start utilising Beta Chain off of attack combos, it's so OP. I'm not having too much issues with bosses at the moment, the difficulty feels fine to me. Might do a NG+ play through as well...

I also think the enemy designs are quite good, they sculptured out each enemy with clay beforehand, pretty interesting stuff:

Definitely not regretting my purchase :)

Yeah that was kinda dumb move if you ever seen one, well that and their openly "DEI" drive.

Kinda remind me of the Dumb TV, TV, TV drive all over again...

To be honest I don't play ps5 at all. I got the digital version biggest mistake. They just don't have the same subs to get new games like Xbox/PC. When I see people enjoy PS5 I know they are rich because it's not cheap to get the new games where with xbox/pc I get a fair size of decent new games with a game pass ultimate and ubosoft+ sub.

That said I'm really keen to get into ps5 gaming because it was expensive to buy and literally gather a dust layer on top.

Been playing this game for about two days now (30% into the game), since Thursday evening. I wouldn't say she is lifeless, she does start to crack some jokes in the exchanges with the guy piloting the doine. I think that's either an East Asian thing or it's Shift Up being rather inexperienced. Her lifeless appearance may be the straight faced, serious look. On the other hand she does make a cute pose when she finds a collectible item. Once you collect all 50 you get a lingerie like outfit.

Parkour and platforming is frustrating at times. Thank Heavens there is little of it but the game has a flaw many other games have and that is that if you can't clear some jump, you're stuck. I despise platformers. One section where you have to activate a switch, jump over a long gap and through a closing door was a PITA. Another section was one where you had the 4 Sony controller symbols and you had to hop or long hop. They drop you a hint if you don't clear this easily. But figuring out the pattern was not the problem, it's the Sony controller and this game, where your character overshoots or lands short or falls off the platform. It took me an hour to clear this section.

The game borrows heavily from Genshin Impact in terms of puzzles, where in one section you have to point a laser beam using reflectors at some reactor or something while in another you have to hop onto marked square platforms in a pattern. GI tends to have more complicated puzzles though and their control is done very well. Maybe these also occur in Shift Up's Nikke, which is a live service anime game, like GI or Blue Protocol..

Now as for the sexualisation, I am frankly shocked. I was expecting Tina or Helena from Dead or Alive but no, this girl is not sexual. There are very few angles which expose her behind. There is a section on a collapsing train with quick time cut scenes where she looks gorgeous in the choice of angles and one can see they went out of their way to position her in an attractive way but there is no lewdness. The only time you see an upskirt is when you assassinate a monster from behind. She does a flip and for a split second there is an upskirt. The outfits also seem tame. The Bunny Suit resembles more of a Japanese high school swimsuit. My favourite outfit is the Chinese dress.

This game is overtly non-sexual. The character does not behave in a suggestive way. Most camera angles and cut scenes are tame. Even the one on the train was done in very good taste. Such a scene could appear in any teen rated movie.

The story is not well flashed out and that's OK. The director of this game said he sucks at storytelling.
