30th Pro: £959
Standard Pro: £699

Important to note that the 30th is a bundle and includes the 30th Edge controller and some other bits, so not quite apples to apples.

I'd buy that thing if I had the money. Oddly enough I can't justify the pricing of the standard Pro, but I'd be willing to pay for the 30th. Some things are just too cool, you buy them with your heart. Congrats dude...

I tried for that bundle first, and I'm pretty sure I had a good shot because I was through the queue early on and other people were still stuck in it. But I wasn't signed into the site so had to do that first, and obviously servers were getting hammered, so by the time I could sign in it was unavailable, bit of a rookie error but oh well.

In the olden days yes, now no.
If you have a PS2 you can still play discs to your heart's content, when sony, inevitably, pulls the online plug your console will be a brick.

I don't care :) It takes me back to my golden days of gaming while growing up. Can't put a price or justification on it...

Huh? You can buy a disc drive for it and as far as digital store fronts go, Sony is still running the PS3 store but even when that goes offline your console ain't gonna be bricked...PS5 isn't an online only console so when that happens years from now it won't be bricked either.

Loved this game but now I've finished everything except a final challenge which is kicking my ass. Getting a bit frustrated with it now because I don't have the rest of the easy levels to do in between attempts 😅

There are a bunch of cool challenge levels throughout the game, loved those as many of them were challenging but not too hard. This last one is a bit above my pay grade though, I'll probably finish it but I'm at that point where it's starting to get stale.
 
I wonder if FF16 will run better on PS5 pro. On the PS5 it runs horrific, crazy dips and make some fight sequences just crazy bad on the performance mode. And I tried it on PC, its literally unplayable if you don't use DLSS frame generation, whatnot but for action game using all of those upscalers it give such a massive latency response time that make the game even more unfun haha. The game is so badly optimized which sucks if you look at games like, FF7, Stellarblade and Spider Man 2, how well those games run on the PS5.

I also like my Switch, but 99% of the games I tend to spend my time on don't even exist on it because it's a literal potato. That being said, I'm looking to get Super Mario Odyssey pretty soon.

No confirmed PS5 pro patch for it yet, but FF7R is getting huge upgrades. I'm holding off on playing it until my pro arrives. We can only hope Square puts out a pro patch for 16 as well...
