Where did I bat for anyone? I use Steam, PS and Nintendo. I literally don't give a hoot where you play your games or spend your money, a curtesy not usually spared for console plebs by the god PC gamers, as evident by some contributions in this thread. But please don't try and tell me Steam users hate exclusivity, what you mean is they hate anything that doesn't come to their platform of choice, even though they share no qualms when their platform of choice don't support other platforms either.

Sorry what? PC players hate exclusivity but the biggest digital platform on PC thrives on it? Unless you can show me how Valve embraces other platforms, this is just massive hypocrisy. As I said earlier, I look forward to playing HL3 on my PS5, or even Deadlock. And why haven't they ported Alyx to PSVR2? Why could Valorant come to consoles but CS can't? Are they just being anti consumer?

Valve owns basically the entire PC market, and their fans are fine with exclusivity to maintain the status quo. It seems like it's just a problem when it comes to consoles/Sony.

So it's either all exclusivity is bad, or there are cases where it makes sense. You can't really pick and chose to fit your narritive

Valve is a corporation hence still anti consumer. They have issues I disagree with loads. Not bringing their developed games to other platforms and their loot boxes to mention two.

I see the new report that PS is stopping PC development due to the new steam box.

I have read speculation its about the new Xbox having the ability to run PC storefronts like steam, epic,ect.

Nah it's called platform warring and don't act like you don't know about it. Also you seem to misunderstand what's happening: I will defend Valve's choices too, it's within their right to do what they want with their money, just like Sony and Nintendo etc. people can walk away if they don't like it. If you want to play the games, support the platform.

I'm just pointing out the general hipocrisy when it comes to darling Valve...

Duh. One of the reasons PC's need to be so powerful (in other words, expensive) to play games is that they are inherently very inefficient at using this power, as they need to cater for so many different applications and environments. Gaming being just one of them.

So your PC wars are internal - continual need to upgrade GPU's, RAM, drivers, software blah blah blah. PC wars are also amongst the different PC brands and hardware suppliers

What you quoted does not back up your erroneous assertation. In fact, it supports what I have been saying, what with the whining that happened subsequently. And the competition I was referring to was Xbox, not PC. Obviously so, I would have thought.

You can always opt to use their tools against them

Create a second account and only buy games under a set threshold. Soo if you find something you like place it on that account's wish list and wait for the email when its hit.
