I was going through Chrome's settings on my phone and stumbled upon "Data stored" under "site settings". Most of my regularly visited sites were somewhere between 500MB and 1 GB, but IOL (which i visit maybe every second month or so when someone sends me a link) was at a ridiculous 12GB. I obviously deleted that.

But then it got me curious and I opened up my laptop and IOL was at the top of the list again - this time at over 2GB.

I'm assuming this isn't a me thing, so go ahead and check your settings - you might be able to free up a couple of GB of space too.

Hell 6.9GB and IOL may have been opened less than a dozen times on the phone in the 3 years. I only browse a handful of sites on the phone regularly. Wtf indeed.

I think we should do a poll to see who has the highest IOL data stored number :giggle:

It's actually pretty crazy - I wonder what the shady doctor and his accomplices are storing on our phones?

That is not the actual disc space used, it is probably compressed data or a wonky calculation since my drive went from 15.x to 16.2GB (Opera) to 16.3GB (Chrome) free space. Still no other site comes close. Clearing 1.8GB Gearbest barely made a difference (10MB) but running it over some other sites - 1.5GB was freed up overall.

Some of these other sites I know I have never visited, and Gearbest has been dead for a few years.

WTF. It was also the most for me at 1GB.

I also only visit the site when someone sends me a link which is like one a year. The 2nd most used was 75MB which is actually a work progressive web app that is under development so it makes sense that is bigger. I wonder if IOL tried a similar thing that is a bit broken.

21gig. Wtf is that about. There is no other website even close

Give this man a bells, just removed 11GB on my phone, need to check my PC

Mine is not nearly as bad - 151 MB.
But still I can't even remember when last I visited the site.
