PSA: Sickbeard is out, Sonarr is in.

Seriously guys, Sonarr is soooo much better.
Runs better, Looks better, management is better, more options, easier to use. It even talks to SABnzbd so you can see download progress and even failures.

You can't even select an nzb to grab with sickbeard if it fails, what shíte is that? Sonarr allows you to custom select another nzb right in the interface.

It has also been grabbing the best quality nzbs and it's phenomenal. (I have ratings displayed in my SAB, integrated from OZnzb indexer - almost everything is rated 4 or 5 stars.)
(You even get a slider for the allowed sizes for SD/HD/BR/etc)

With sickbeard you never know what nzb it grabs and you just kinda hope for the best.... and if it fails you're screwed.

Give it a try!

I just made the switch from a NH derivative of SB, and though NH doesn't work with it... yet, colour me impressed.

Thanks.

So how are people finding this app as i am thinking of giving it another go but need some more info. I am using SickRage at the moment.

Loving it. I've always had to do it manually so this whole automation thing is great :)

Awesome and compared to SickRage ? Is it more stable, less errors, etc....

That's the thing - I don't know about Sickrage but installing SB proved to be a nightmare on a mac so I gave up. Sonarr was easy to install.

I am also really enjoying Sonarr, it just works. I still monitor what it is grabbing but it's doing a good job so far. The auto blacklisting feature also helps prevent bad downloads.

Does anybody know where it gets the series info from? I couldn't find the new Lego Star Wars series last night, maybe because it's classified as cartoons?

Only other niggle I have seen is one series it downloaded episodes in 720p with 2 ch audio and then grabbed 720p with 5.1 when that became available. Don't see any audio options in the quality sorting list? Maybe because they were REPACK's? Does that mean there was something wrong with the first ones (haven't watched yet).

Probably... Repacks occur when the release gets nuked, because the ripper did something wrong with the compression settings, aspect ratio, forgot to remove ads, or cut out a wrong part, etc.

Ok cool. New ones are done now so no worries :)

Which indexers do you guys use? My Usenet crawler or SAB is giving probs for some reason.

I am receiving this error:
No files found are eligible for import in {path}

That sounds like a configuration problem.

Are you using Blackholes?

Nope, I am running Sonarr in a VM though.

I removed NzbPlanet to focus on 1 indexer at a time.
I am troubleshooting usenet-crawler and once I am happy, I will move on to the other indexers.

Struggling to download Ballers S01E04.

Okay so it only happens with particular things, but other stuff works fine.

Then it must be the indexer yeah.

I just use the free ones in Sonnar.

Womble is the only free one?

Well I am struggling with other series as well but Ballers Ep5 downloaded at least.

Could be Womble only then I guess.

Will have a look later if I remember.
