PSA: Sickbeard is out, Sonarr is in.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I have loads of left over folders and files in my download directory and series folders

You can clean up in SABnzbd. I think I Also saw an option in sonarr

I have some older episodes on the go and needless to say I am not impressed with this Usenet Bucket account. Topping out at 100KB/sec.

That's 10% of my line speed.

edit: its not them. Got the same speeds on my Astraweb block account.

Webafrica must be shaping NNTP traffic into the ground :erm:

Using SSL?

Tried different ports?

I have installed Sonarr and added 1 show to see how it works. Also added SABZNDB as i could not get nzbget to work on Ubuntu. these where my issues.

1. The show did not auto add the missing episodes.
2. It did not auto download the missing episodes.

What it did do was create the same files SickRage as Metadata was enabled.

I must admit that this app gets 9/10 from me. I just cannot add 1 Indexer thesportsdb.com. I do not know if i can add this i do have the API Key.

I want to use this for all the F1 Info. If someone knows please let me know.

Thanks

One of the options when adding news Providers allows you to customise. I added 2 custom providers.

@AstroTurf Thanks. That is what i was looking at and kept on getting failed the whole time. Might have to go back to them and ask what the correct URL is for it.

Anyone running Sonarr successfully on the R-PI? I'm having endless problems with tasks getting stuck. Restarting Sonarr fixes the issue but then a few hours later the tasks are stuck again. I'm thinking the R-PI doesnt have enough oomf to run mono and Sonarr.

Might have to go back to SB if I can't get this working :(

Sonarr seems much more graphics/bling intensive than sb. May be the problem?

My biggest gripe right now is that it is indeed trying to download everything that is "missing" in my series folder.

How do I get it to not do that, I have 580 pages of missing/wanted

Uncheck the flag icon on to the left of the series name/season number

I just left the current season checked
but obviously if you have a bunch of missing stuff that you have already seen it could be a problem

That could well be the issue. For the time being I"ve gone back to SB/SAB.

I've put the question on the Sonarr forums as well and supplying some debug info. Will see what happens.

I unchecked everything, now have to manually go and tell it per series what I want.

When you add a series there are two options. The first option only adds the series and monitors for future episodes. This is what I did with all the existing series. It will then show missing episodes but not download them. The second option is add and retrieve missing episodes. This I use for a new series I want to watch. Then it searches for all episodes that have already aired as well.

Sadly I left it all as default.
I am very close to uninstalling it and going back to sickbeard. It may handle missing episodes better but it certainly turns simple tasks into complex ones.

I now have all my series unmonitored.
If I change them to monitored it tries to download everything. I can not find an option to only download latest, am I missing something?

Did you add them as existing series on disk and scan the folder where you keep the series?

yes.

Then it added all of it to "missing" as there is only recently downloaded stuff on that pc.

I have now set all my series to unwanted to stop it from trying to download stuff I already have.

In Sonarr series editor (where you can mass edit only has 2 options), monitored and unmonitored.

No continue type option.

Seems it's all or nothing and I really don't want to download everything again just to get a program working. That would be Terabytes worth of stuff.
