PSU's are Overrated

Channel Well make Thermaltake PSU's so they should be good.

Guess again. Had one of those, PSU blew in a puff of smoke, still have it, I can take a pic of how it blew up? Destroyed my Graphics card.

Maybe I just have bad luck with PSU's...

Only brands I've used that didn't give me trouble yet is: Enermax, AOpen (someone's gonna post about how AOpen = generic) and Codegen (yeah it's really cheap, but surprisingly none have died just yet).

@Rouxenator: What do you use your computer for? And why did you chuck the 7600GS? Put the 7600GS back in and start running some CPU/GPU intense applications.

I chucked out the 7600GS along with my GeForce6150 board and S939 Athlon 3800. I sold the lot on BoB to cover the cost of my AMD690G board with AM2 Athlon X2 6000 CPU (Dual Core 3ghz) plus 4x 1GB DDR400 modules. The onboard ATI X1250 is more than enough for my odd UT2004 or NFS Carbon adventure.

The CPU is under 100% load 24/7 because I am running WCG (http://boincstats.com/stats/user_stats.php?pr=wcg&st=0&co=South Africa) and I have never had issues with stability. I think the reason why this 250watt baby is working so nicely all these years is the fact that it gets cleanish power from a UPS.
