Exactly, I got donnered and my kids also get what they are due when they over step the lines. Simple as that, I have been in the UK a few times too many and no way in hell I would let my kids turn into that. Kids need to be guided by a good spanking from time to time. There was obviously a racial component, but I think what was first reported as "covered in shaving cream" is now being reported as "painted white" because it's more inflammatory.

And that's why reporting it based purely on the race angle should be condemned! People, and media, are actively "encouraged" to not mention the race of criminals or the accessed! Yet when it is white on black race is highlighted. So obvious.

What are they hoping to achieve by explicitly mentioning race here, and decided it was a racial attack without any investigation, besides being divisive? The media have a responsibility to this country too.

No doubt the reporters and editors are gloating at how an incident, which no doubt happens all over, has become a major talking point.

Fully agreed, fewl. I was pissed off when discovery that the "painted white" actually seemed to refer to him being covered in shaving cream.

And OrbitalDawn, imagine for one second it was actually paint, when exactly did the use of certain colour paints become racist? Look around any garage, what is the most likely paint colour you'll find? Green? Red? No, probably white, cream or the like!

FFS, this is what pisses me off so much! People want to see racism. I have no idea what pleasure or benefit they derive from it but they want so badly for it to be the case. Actually, I think I do know the benefit. The "white man is evil" and they need confirmation of this all the time. It's good to create a common enemy as it takes the focus off one's own shortcomings.

That might be true, but given the current political climate and the history of race relations in SA, it is just plain stupid to open oneself to such an accusation in the first place. Were these boys properly educated to be sensitive to the complexity of race relations in SA, they might have avoided this "cheap shot".

A group of boys from an agricultural high school in the Northern Cape made a video of themselves brutalising a black pupil and raping him with a broom handle.

The video shows a group of six white pupils, who were wearing only their underpants, attacking the child. The assault allegedly took place in the hostel of the school, which is situated in the town of Jan Kempdorp, on the border with the North West.

The four-minute video shows the victim bound by his hands and feet to a steel framed bed. His assailants paint him with a white substance which appears to be the consistency of shaving cream, while a handful of black pupils watch.

Before he was raped, the video shows his attackers shaving his head and his buttocks. The boy can be heard screaming and crying as his attackers and other boys in the room laugh and joke.

They laughed as they raped him.

The child is apparently a new pupil at the school, having only enrolled there at the beginning of the year.

“How do you take a broom and shove it into the rectum of a young boy? Inflicting pain on another human is criminal,” he added.

The young boy is receiving trauma counselling.
