Push One Now - Spam Call - How to stop?

It is usually from an 021 xxx xxxx number. Every time a different number so using a spam blocker, Should I Answer or True Caller etc., does not work.

The moment you pick up it is an automated lady or man saying "Push 1 now, Push 1 now, push 1 now......."

This is pure harassments and the calls do not stop.

Who do one approach or where do one start to stop this harassment?

Are all 021 xxx xxxx call centre or spam related or are they sometimes linked to valid important services?

Thinking of just blocking all number starting with 021 then.

Unlike traditional fixed-line numbers, non-geographic telephone numbers (087 numbers) are regarded as ‘national’ numbers . Non-geographic numbers can not be traced back to a certain city or region within South Africa. Such numbers are commonly used by organisations that conduct business nationwide, not just in a specific area. Traditionally, 087 numbers are used to serve clients from one central call center. Calls can then be transferred to departments that are located anywhere in the country. 087 numbers are best suited for businesses who wish to establish the perception of having national presence.

So can add 087 to the list then.

031 can never be valid. Nothing valid happens in that particular region.

What if I miss a call from @Dairyfarmer or @Cereal_Killer

I get the spam from a 031140 in addition to an 021 number. Block and they keep altering the extension

With people getting rid of telkom landlines, I suppose Telkom assign the numbers to some marketing company.

Just leave the call active. They are probably on some "unlimited" call plan. But it ties up that line for a long time so that they can't harass someone else. I once left a call active from over 45 minutes. I just muted my mic. Bet I saved at least 30 other people getting called. Same reason those guys harass those scam call centres in India. Keep them on a call for more than 30 minutes and that is a few less people getting scammed.

Sometimes those robocalls don't connect till you say something. So I wait about 5 seconds then say hello.

087 - VOIP, so if you have clients that might use VOIP that are likely to phone you...

I personally use a wildcard blocker for neighbour numbers that show distinct patterns, and it's worked really well for about 80% of cases now (took about three years of building it up sadly), though I really wish I could just go ahead and block all of them from the first three digits alone but once in a blue moon I'll actually need to get a legit call from one of those numbers.

In an optimal world, I would enable those options to receive calls from my personal contacts only and correspond the rest via messaging services and email if it's so important.

I press the "to repeat this message, press ..." button every now and then. I think it disconnected after 5 - 10 min.

Remember that TrueCaller mines your contacts and uses that data to sell their product.
