Push Ups & Pull Ups

and depends on reps ! you cant do 5 push ups and 5 pull ups and expect to get massive :P

but ya your gonna look out of proportion if thats all you do :)

Will I get big and strong if I do these every day?

3 times a week is better than every day. Muscles need time to rest to grow properly. Also its easier to stick with that way. You'll find yourself looking forward to work out days instead of dreading it.

I suggest mondays, wednesdays and fridays.

He's unlikely to get huge doing body wait exercises. But ja maybe burpees instead of just plain pushups would be better:

Nice little vid too :D.

Also, this is a very good program although I wouldn't set my heart on actually doing a hundred.

I do push ups and sit ups two to three times a week.

If done properly, and you do suffiicient reps (i do 8 sets of 20 to 30 reps each) you can build up a decent physique.

pullups good for streght training, but then you should also do dips (free hang machines).

dragondoor has excellent training for pull ups if you can't do a proper set of 20 without any assistance.

just to point out one
Pullups: A Matter of Function

when you can do these we talk :D

push ups/pull ups are ok but they can't compare with a real weight set. If you can't afford gym then invest in a dumbbell/barbell set with a bench as soon as your finances allow.

I have a gym subscription but I am going to cancel soon as I never go because it is such a mission.

I have been doing pull ups and push ups for a while now and have noticed a bit of a difference in my pectorals.

Go have a look on youtube for weight-free exercise.
The workouts are usually under 30 min and are pretty good.

Or...
The Royal Marine Commando exercises are very good.
Tried it last year.

Throw in some sit ups and squats too. You want a strong core and you'll look silly with a broad back and chest but skinny legs! ;)

You will spend twice as long to get the same impact with weight free, which is fine if you don't mind that. It's understandable that gym is too much of a mission for a lot of people's situations - but you'd do well with your own bench set.

Do you mean that weird looking clothes rack in the spare room?
