OK guys, I've got my new system, and it's as follows :
ASUS Striker 680i Mobo
Intel Q6600 CPU
Zalman CNPS9700L CPU Cooler
(Lol @2.4Ghz I'm at 25°C Idle and 34°C load)
I've got 4 x Hynix DDR2 800 RAM (5-5-5-12)
Aerocool Zero Degree Gaming Chassis (3x12cm , 1 x 22cm)
Now, will this RAM cope when I OC this system?
How far can I push it, and (@ people like Beanie that also have Striker Extreme's), can you give me a quick-quick tutor to do the OC?
Thanks guys?
PM me if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help you![]()
WKJ: What speed u're running yr chip @ now?
I'm having some trouble with this 680i board...
I can't find a OC how-to for it anywhere, and when I use the BIOS->Extreme Tweaker-> AI Overclocking->Overclock 20% , my Ram goes up to 987Mhz and becomes unstable..
I know this *might* be a very very noob question, but : Is there any way I can OC my CPU without doing the RAM aswell? (I'd probably have to get stuck into those complicated Ram-settings, eh?)
what PSUs do you guys use? Especially those that run 8800s
