Hi

I Know this is a long shot but Does anyone here use QQ? I know it's not as big in the rest of the world as it is in China so i've been having a rough time finding an English QQ application for either iOS or Android. Anyone know if there's something available?

QQ used to be popular long ago - it must have died out.
If I'm not wrong, MWEB replaced QQ with it's own chat channels and pushed it, but ya, it probably just fizzelled out.

+1.

QQ used to be the old Gtalk/MSN chat/ whatever for South Africa, back in the early 2000s. It's pretty much died now.

Is that the same QQ that is popular in China now?

I see here that Naspers owns it in part

Tencent QQ, generally referred to as QQ, is the most popular free instant messaging computer program in mainland China. As of September 30th, 2011, there were 711.7 million active user accounts for QQ IM, [1] possibly making it the world's second largest online community. The number of simultaneous online QQ accounts exceeded 100 million. [2] In February 2011, QQ.com ranked 10th overall in the Alexa Internet rankings just behind Twitter, ranked 9th. [3] The program is maintained by Tencent Holdings Limited (HKEX: 0700 ), owned in part by the South African multinational company Naspers.

I have QQ but dont use it .it is huge in China I think every one that has net access has QQ in china .
The English version is a poor version of the Chinese one . I could not connect the English version to the Chinese version so it is useless for me .

I am also looking for an English version of QQ for Android. I work in China and 99% of people I know there still use QQ on a daily basis.
