Care to elaborate on that?
No was just a fanboi comment*sigh*
Most games don't have quad core support as of yet, but will in the future so I think it's a good investment!![]()
The Q9300 should understandably be faster clock for clock than the Q6600 in some cases, but I'd hardly go so far as to say that the Kentsfield sucks...
In fact, I think that the Q6600 is one of the best CPUs that Intel has made recently. And according to the latest Rectron price list:
Q6600 R1,729 excluding VAT
Q9300 R2,299 excluding VAT
(I'm sure you can get both cheaper from somewhere else, so don't bother to let me know)
I'd say the Q6600 has a better price/performance ratio![]()

I would say have a go for the Q6600, Prices have come down alot!
Asus P5kse goes for R1300 at prophecy plus free shipping, I got myself one, perfect for overclocking.
Why did you choose the Q6700 btw?
I think in the end it was the 8MB cache over the 9300 6MB that sold me.
His probably thinking the clock speed is higher? But the 6700 is a bit more expensive... Dont knowWould have gone with the Q6600 and overclocked it far beyond the Q6700 (How overclockable is it?) Should be just as good?
BOth will oc to the same level, but the 67 will put less fsb strain on the mobo
