Question about Axxess and Openweb uncapped

To be honest if the thresholds are meaningful, and this is for personal use, then you are probably not using the account properly.

Think I used over 30GB on my first day. Just know it is slow 8am to 8pm weekdays, otherwise fast.

Also I don't see the point in paying R500 extra for 512k vs 384k. Save downloading for night time, and if the daytime speed bugs you, just buy another (SAIX) account for day time use.

I cant find Axxess one. How much is the monthly on theirs?
How can they call this uncapped then? This is false advertising

Usage is uncapped. If you exceed the threshold, you are throttled you to half the advertised speed from 8am to 8pm. Otherwise the account runs at your maximum line speed.

I'd actually prefer if they called it a 250 gig package or whatever it is.

For this month, on 384k uncapped, at theoretical maximums, it would roughly equal 900 Gig on a 4Mb/s line, 150 Gig on a 512k line and 125 Gig on a 384k line.

Thanks guys, openweb says on their page that you have a 30 gig monthly threshold though.
So after 30 gigs what happens?

During the hours of 8am to 8pm you get half of the advertised speed. So for a 384k uncapped account, you get throttled to 192k.

From 8pm to 8am and on weekends you are not throttled at all, and are limited only by the speed of your connection.

The only throttling that should happen is to the people that impose restrictions on uncapped xD

Ok look, I do understand that you will get people abusing the lines all day long, but throttling after 30 gigs is just inane.

"Free petrol for your car guys! You can only go 20km/h though!"
