Sweet. Sign me up for the competition. Made a thread and replied where I can to some problems. :)

In all fairness, the rules are not well defined. How would you know if you are entered? However it is clear that you have to make you own thread. I have asked that question.

Q & A

Hi there

MyBroadband is the premier destination for South Africans to find help with broadband, telecoms and IT issues. However, it has also become a great place to find answers to non-IT related questions.

We all research answers to questions online, or find solutions to problems, and we would like to encourage you to share these answers with others to help them out. If you found an answer to a question, or a solution to a problem, please share it with others. You will be surprised how many people are looking for exactly the same thing.

To kick this off, we are giving away a new PS4 gaming console and 5 games courtesy of Ster Kinekor.

Question 1: Default Netgear DGN2000 Passthrough
I have a Netgear DGN2000 wireless-N Router with built-in DSL modem http://www.wantitall.co.za/PC-Hardwa...FYXLtAod7ycA3g

I believe this modem has passthrough functionality on this router but im not sure how to setup so does anyone have a step by step guide?

Answer 1:Under WAN Setup enable PPPOE Relay. That should do the trick. http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/481442-Netgear-DGN2000-Passthrough

Question 2: Update Galaxy S GT I9000 with NEW Value Pack XXJW4 2.3.6 Firmware
I upgraded my Galaxy S I9000 to this new value pack 2.3.6 XXJW4 and had no problems with the update. Then I restored my phones backup with MyBackup Pro. The phone lags alot as if the CPU is to slow. What can I do it enhance this? I use whatsapp with the latest version and its extremely slow with that app. What can I do to better this?

Has only one done the update and having the same problem?

I updated from http://androidadvices.com/update-gal...#comment-88901

Answer 2: Sounds like it could be a conflict with the old backup and the new firmware. After a major andriod update it is best to reinstall your apps, from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 my Titanium Backup also caused random Force Closes. http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...9000-with-NEW-Value-Pack-XXJW4-2-3-6-Firmware

Question "Hi is there anybody here who could replace the fan for me on a Pavillion DV7-6051ei ?

Kind Regards"

Answer "Not related to the question but what you could do is get a notebook cooler, http://www.rebeltech.co.za/index.php...dex&cPath=7_42

Otherwise you could try doing it yourself:

Word of advice make sure you put all the screws in the same place you took them out, so for example put a white cloth or a piece of paper down and make a sort of diagram of where you took the screws out. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_qPqW7iNfK1...0/IMG_5419.JPG

Not sure where you could get the fan from, you could try emailing [email protected] and see if he can help you.

Otherwise you'll probably have to import it or go to a local computer shop and see if they can help you."

Give "let me repair" a call. They are the authorised HP repairer in SA. Might be expensive but save you the hustle.

Well i'm going to say this without trying to sound overconfident. I've entered the competition! I think...
