http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/589807-Ram-Upgrade

Problem: I currently have 1 stick of Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333 .

Should I buy another stick of the same? Will this provide a performance increase in general computing and gaming?

Should I buy 2 sticks of some other ram? One 4GB of another ram?

Answer: RAM has taken a massive hit price wise these past couple of months, so I would say your best bet would be to buy another module of the same. Remember, buying a faster stick, and matching it with the 1333 will decrease its speed to that of the slowest module.

If you were upgrading a full system, then I would go and fork out the extra change for a new kit of 8Gb that is 1600. The difference in speed is worth it in some applications.

In regards to FPS, you will not notice any change unless it is a RAM heavy game. Not many out there. But as stated above. your loading times will improve as well as everyday use of the PC. Well worth it in my opinion. But for now, buy 1 module of the Kingston 4Gb 1333. Then, at a later stage, buy something faster. :D

Found a good one today,

Spring Clean your Mattress:

Using a kitchen strainer sprinkle 1 cup of the baking soda all over the mattress and let it sit for around an hour. Using your vacuum and an upholstery attachment to thoroughly vacuum the mattress.

And there you go, you'll have a fresh smelling, clean mattress.

First type:

sudo apt-get update

This checks if there are any package updates available, after it run type:

sudo apt-get upgrade

You'll be prompted to type "Y" if there are updates available.

After that's run type these commands to remove unnecessary files:

And there you go, your Ubuntu will be up to date and fully secure
