Hi, so mostly i am a Mac gamer. Yes a Mac gamer. So there is unfortunately not alot of games i can play, do you guys know how i will be able to run windows on my mac, and not specifically running Windows "only" on the mac? I have heard of Parallels and crossover. But it seems that Parallels looks best for the job. But i don't know if i will be able to play games like Call of Duty Ghost etc etc...
 
rpm- never have a competition in this format again. The amount of rubbish posted over the past two weeks, has been rather painful to sift through.
 
I feel like I should apologize for this sudden influx of "omg i wanna win the frikken ps4 yo" threads. I think I'm somehow responsible for getting that ball rolling.

I fully agree. And again RPM, I get that myBB wants to attract new users, but I don't think users that just joined should be allowed to enter. Feels unfair to those who browse and add value to the forum on a daily basis.
 
Problem : what to do if your ps3 keeps freezing.
Solution: turn it off from the back. Or unplug it. Then reset it
 
Needing a ps4 right now. Ps3 just isnt the same after playing that amazing console at the rage expo last year

Hi,

I would like to know how IT companies make their business more environmentally friendly.

Having a computer of any type requires having energy to power the device. Electricity (primarily coal in SA) is the natural resource which is used.

Environmentally IT would use up the following basic things in a business setting; materials in productions (plastic, metal, copper, etc), energy in production of hardware, travel energy (petrol for example), electricity to power up the computers... and so on.

So in effect, how do IT companies lower their Carbon Footprint?

What i would really like to see are IT companies especially the big ones using renewable energy at their base operating facilities. The initial cost may be high to set up a solar panels and storage devices but in the long run it will pay itself off with a reduced electricity cost from the relevant power supplier.

Additionally; companies can recycle old equipment "e-waste"- recycling also pertains to paper, plan their travel more efficiently to reduce energy costs, go wireless (i imagine that allot of raw materials can be saved with the reduced need for cabling, thus lowering carbon costs).

It would be really good if just say a company like Sony used renewable energy that they produce themselves to power their low-medium electricity consumption areas, such as admin offices, garages,etc.

If you think about it allot can actually be done from a ground level that would add to lower carbon costs.

When I saw this, I thought it is a fabulous way to get more exposure as far as a Google search is concerned and to be honest, I was looking forward to the value added Q's and A's that will be posted... BUT ...

... The bulk of the entries is merely a duplication of what can already be found on this site. I mean, how many "Best Android apps" or "Connect your router at home" threads does this forum need? Looking through the masses of threads to find something of real value has been somewhat of a fruitless exercise. I would recommend that after the close of the competition, MyBB admin delete all the rubbish threads created. I don't think it is in the interest of MyBB that when someone does a search on Google, they end up with a rubbish answer on this site - it might do the site more harm than good. Although I have not lost interest in MyBB or even standing a chance at winning the competition, I have lost interest in commenting in the threads posted.

Not only this, but how many clones have been created? Like you say, there is an influx of one-post-wonders whom you'll never again see on this site contributing and adding value on a daily basis. To be fair though, one or two new members might stick it out for the long haul and contribute, and if one of those would win provided their thread/contribution is proper value add, I don't have a problem in principle - but unfortunately you can't tell if they will stick around.

This pretty much happens with every competition on MyBB but not at this scale! I will grand that winning a PS4 is awesome and I won't mind one myself, but perhaps this should be treated like F1 Fan suggested.

How do you transfer all your games from one computer to another with steam?

Firstly copy and paste all the game files from steam/steamapps/COMMON.

Then in steam go to the game, right click on the game, properties and then Verify game files!!

SORTED :D :D :D
