Hi folks

We have solved the quick reply problem, but with the new system it is recommended that users must click on a certain post (quick reply button--right bottom of each post) before they can reply.

“When Quick Reply is enabled, you may specify whether or not users must click the Quick Reply icon in order to start typing in the Quick Reply editor.

If you choose not to require a click, the system will not know to which post a user is replying, making both the threaded and hybrid display modes non-sensical.

We strongly recommend that you set the option to require a click if you use Quick Reply and have Threaded Mode available on your forums.”

Please try it out and give feedback. I think it will make the forum more searchable etc. Not certain what the other advantages are yet, but I am sure we will find out

FiFo isnt working

Im on version 1.07, and the quick reply icon next to posts is not working

The quick reply box remains grayed out no matter which way I try clicking the icon...

It's a little more effort I suppose but I can see the benefits to the hierarchy. Searching should become easier as will quoting in quick reply.

I know there are several mods out there already to quote from multiple people in your quick reply.

Just try refreshing lews... I had the same problem the first time I loaded up this thread but it came right with a refresh.

I'm using FF 1.07 and have no issues. It works like a charm. Perhaps you have a conflicting extension?

Firefox 1.0.7 here and it also doesn't work when clicking the icon. Shouldn't quick reply always be available?

edit: works when page is refreshed, but that's not really a quick reply
