We are using a really old version of Quickbooks which doesn't work with Windows 7 (64bit). Has anyone tried to buy directly from the US site? I have no desire to pay R2500 for the Pro version here when I can get it for R1100 from the US store.

As a quick fix you could always run the QuickBooks in Windows 7 XP Mode

Remember that if you use the US version of QB, tax may become an issue, as we use a different system. I'm using v5 of the UK version, and also have a few issues regarding tax calculations - ideally, you'd want the SA version :)

Which version of QB are you currently running? For quite a while I ran QB2003 Pro in a Win2K virtual machine on Vista. Works fine.

BTW, the reason why QB won't work under Vista is because of lousy programming by Intuit, though many people wrongly blame Microsoft/Vista. Take a look at this to see why.

We are using QB 4 (I think), it's about 10 years old :D

There is also a problem with the way QB prints that causes all sorts of problems with virtual printer guys.

Does anyone know where I can get Quickbooks Premier at a good price? Also, what is the Pastel equivalent to Quickbooks Premier?
