Quit new job within first month

My sister did it.

She was interviewing for two jobs during the same period, took the first one, thought the second one was dead. Here goes her one month notice period, and two weeks within the first job she gets a much better offer for the second one (in which she was more interested anyway).

Tried to negotiate with the first job but they wouldn't match so she left after her notice period.

It's not common at all, she's the only occurrence I've heard of and she was feeling really bad about leaving them so quickly.
 
The record at my old company was 45 minutes.

He came in, we started to show him what he had to do. He needed to get something from his car and that was the last we saw of him.

On a scale of 1-10 how horrible is the company that you work for?

We had someone sign the contract and then just not show up on his first day.

Are you sure his body is not hidden somewhere in your office? :crylaugh:

45min is pretty bad, but without even saying anything...
