Done it once, yes. Was hired as the Fleet Manager for a transport & plant hire company. The workload and job spec were very different from what was presented in the interview. Just didn't click with the place and the management at all. Started on a Wednesday, the following Tuesday afternoon I went to the owner/MD and resigned. The next morning I went in to finish things off, hand in my office keys, etc. The HR lady called me in, handed me a cheque for the week's salary, along with the IRP5 doc for that payment. They said I could leave at 11am, which I did.
Sounds lovely. Interview goes well, you get a good shiny and polished picture of the company, but when you start, you find that everything polished = turds
