If you are white, how did you manage to get shares and on what basis was the shares allocated? Personally speaking, the fat cats are getting fatter and the skinny cats (the pure working class of this country) is getting poorer - R2.50 to make a phone call - rediculous!

It's a loyalty based share scheme which involved all staff. Some BEE candidates received more than the whites. And the White females received more than the white males.
Fact is everyone got a slice of the pie no matter what the size of it is

still not right... I'm sorry, no matter how you look at it u can't put two employee's who work equally hard next to each other and then only give the one a definitely bigger slice of cake based on skin colour.

I get this money for mahala/free/gratis. Even if it's R 10 and my co worker gets R 15. I got R 10 for free, why would I complain

How so?
Any CEO with shares in the company he is running could come close to that sort of cash?
Don't get me wrong, it's alot of dosh, but at that level, they all get it some time or later.
Let's talk about the CEO's of our goverment parastatals.
The kind of money they come into - that's ridiculous IMO.
MTN being a private owned company, having made provisions for this fund and for it to be released at a time they felt it was right - no harm there.
Just plain old, crude corporate business
