Can anyone answer a question the Vodashop rep could not: on those R399 Internet Starter Packs (modem + 12x100MB), does each month's 100 MB data bundle kick in on the date identical to the original purchase date in the month, or on the 1st of every month?

I was also told the monthly 100 MB does not roll over -- but doing a balance check on this month's data in fact says it is valid until the end of February (in line with Voda data bundles generally). And if it does roll over in this way, is the 'old' data used first in the next month and then the new, or the other way around? Thanks and I have two family members just starting out on the internet with these packs who will be happy to know!

get back to us in a few days time, when its feb... but I would say 1st every month.

Should be just after midnight on the first day of the month.

From what I could determine it was a rolling 30days from the day you activated it and yes the data doesn't roll over - well those were according to the Vodashops I asked. So if you did it on the 1st of the month then yes would be calendar month but if you did it say on 10th it would run 10th to 10th. Maybe a Vodacom rep could confirm - I know they are around here

The 100Mb gets added on the day it was activated , so if you activated it on the 15th of the month then you will receive the data everymonth on the 15th.The data does get carried over as per the normal bundle business rules.According to Vodacom's business rules it is supposed to use the bundle first before using the carry over , however it does not seemed to be working that way.

OK tks VodacomData, I'll take your research as gospel and hope my guys using the new packs will not suddenly lose all their unused data at midnight on the first of Feb! And as you say normal bundle rules apply we will assume that means the bundles expire on the last calendar day of the following month after loading. As so often happens there seems to be enormous confusion on data bundle rules internally and among the outlets....

i have picked up an issue where extra bundles are loaded during the month and the balance of that bundle then prematurely forfeits on the 1st of the new month. Those clients have been given their data back , i have escalated the problem and was supposed to have been fixed.

So to the forumites using the internet starter pack and loading bundles please keep an eye on the data balance on the 1st.
