I got R600 I wanna spend on a pc "upgrade" - is there anything worthwhile that I can buy?

If you are running a 64 bit os, and you can match the ram timings. If you are running 32bit, you will either get about 3.2 gigs total, or you will see the whole 4 gig, but programs not compiled with PAE support might not be able to use it. This is all mobo and os dependent.

If the timings are a mismatch, you might take a performance hit. Just be careful, and try and match make and model. I have been through the 4gig memory schlep recently.

Ram will be obvious, but I would say your mobo -as it is the crappiest component you have!

There after, your ram, then chip.

Dont buy games, they are a waste to buy, rather download/Copy, get a cool mousepad.

how would i be able to check, what the timings on the RAM are without having to open pc and take out RAM, is their another way???

But....I am normally the first to throw in more RAM, but you will be paying R600 for an additional 1 and a bit gig of ram, unless you go 64bit.
The other guys had some nice suggestions, case, nice mouse keyboard combo, mobo, silent cooling....

I would go with Ram if you have a 64 bit oS, otherwise mabe a new mobo or a hdd.
