Racist driver forced us off the bus

Ok the racist driver is bad and all, but jeez these kids must be seriously unfit and out of condition. Two hours to walk one kilometer!

So it was just pure coincidence that he singled out all the white pupils? Sounds like he didn't know what he was doing and got upset when they pointed it out. Even if they did "piss him off" does that justify racism?

Just stating wrt the above people always think its only white people that are racist which is not true, just like its not only whites that are affected by crime.

"thank you sir" to the bus driver etc. It could have been a case of him having a bad day, maybe had some "angry white dude" shout at him earlier, now stuck in some kuk traffic, so he takes a one block detour, and these kids going to rich schools he can't afford to send his kids to come and tell him, who has done the job for years, that he is going the wrong way... snap? Yeah, he did overreact and it appears to be blatantly racist, but given the right(wrong?) set of circumstances it could happen to anyone...

Double standards are wrong whichever way they're implemented, obviously they still go both ways here but that doesn't make them any more acceptable.

The students were probably mouthing off. That said, accusations against the bus driver are probably true.

The fact that there is an ongoing strike by bus drivers confirms this..

Shortly after a Metrorail strike during 2005, I was blocked from leaving Cape Town station by a "disgruntled" Metrorail employee. It's a long boring story. The smaller outlying stations sometimes don't have officials selling tickets. So you board a train, and then on arrival at CT station purchase a ticket that allows to you to exit via the gates. Something I and many others do daily. The person selling the tickets decided, because I was white, that I "couldn't buy a ticket". He was clearly disgruntled over the unsuccesful strike action. The three black guys and two coloureds ahead of me in the queue were allowed to purchase tickets though. The staff at the station refused to help. I was forced to catch a train to another station, buy a ticket, and then return to CT. What I did on my return to CT station probably cost this "poor" man his job. I'm glad though. I hope his extended family are starving. :D

Anyone who uses public transport in this country (and isn't sheltered by shiny cars) will be aware of the constant tension. If those kids mouthed off even slightly, it would have given the driver an excuse to act out. If you're white, STFU. It's the norm.

So in your minds, just because white kids say 'x' and a black guy says 'y', the white kids are automatically free of any guilt!
The truth will come out, one way or another, why are you prejudging the issue?
I'm curious, by your reasoning, is the black guy guilty by default just because he is black or is their other information available at this stage that constitutes undeniable proof?
 
Not at all, i just happened to say in the beggining of this fiasco that nothing would happen to the driver and look what happened. Funny how things work out if this is the end of it. Funny how black people always cry racism in the beggining but when we do it --oh no thats not right.
