Racist motivated killings

This incident is regrettably and undeniably racist (even if the dude is looney) and should be condemned in the strongest possible fashion.
That said this happens everyday. Separate crime driven by poverty with those hate crimes against the white community when they maim and torture people, and to hell with apartheid as a reason, that is no justification.

What is also interesting about this case which people forget, an understandably so as emotions are at boiling point in the affected community, is that it was in fact the white farming community that informed the cops where they could find this murderer, the very people that are often labeled racist. Explain that to me.

The majority of the people in this country just want to live in peace, there are extremists on both sides of the fence and it is foolish to let them bring a dark cloud over our country and threaten our democracy.

Fully agreed! But it goes both ways. Thats the crux of the problem in South Africa and with some members of this forum. Denial and one sided viewpoints.

And thats how it should be: working together to put a crazed murderer behind bars! Thats whats going to make this country work. Surely if the White farmers can understand that then we all can?

Hidden innuendos, subtle hints of being a racist by means of liking someone to another. Bageloo you’ve done nothing more than suggest that he’s a racist; being another skin colour other than white doesn’t give you a right to racist slander.
 
Just a quick one, did they actually mention that the farming community that helped the cops were white?

Great job by those who informed the cops about the alleged perpetrator. I hope general public learn to do more on informing police and help fight crime.

On SAFM they had a copper on the show who, btw sounded clearly non European, who said a white farmer provided information to the police. I did not read it in the press.
 
mmm...Maby the guy could'nt handle it anymore??...If you look around you and see all the murders...rapings...robberies...bullsh!t....a person can only take THAT much. If it was a "planned" act, yes....totaly wrong...If it was a "snap of the mind"?...well....Who can judge?

picture this ...your mind snaps, you grab your daddies gun, you don your "military" uniform, you get in your daddies bakkie, you drive to the nearest informal settlement, (but you don't shoot anyone or anything along the way), you get there and you start shooting at random whilst shouting "k****, K***...., you drive back to your house (you don't shoot anyone or anything on your way back either).
I ain't no psychologist but I would say this boy knew what he was doing...just like Barend Strydom knew exactly what he was doing.
If he was nuts, he would've killed his family/friends first..

This is disgusting - and probably comes from his fathers opinions and feelings. I obviously cant say but judging by his age his father or some relative must have influenced his descisions or thoughts.
Breeding racism is the worst thing anyone can ever do. Senseless, mindless killing of people of another race should not be tolerated and the accused should face maximum time in prison.
I hope this has an effect on racists everywhere and i hope there are no readers who tolerate it.
Racism must end and so must these old school beliefs - if you think you are better than another man because of your colour, you should be sent to a little island somewhere and never return.

Which is...unfortunatly...very true. To put it bluntly...If I keep "bumping" against you...Are you not going to get fed-up and DO something about it??..OBVIOUSLY, if the farmers start protecting themselves by force, can you blame them??
If the one nation could just leave the other in peace, this country could have been great :(
