Very interesting concept. What with the dismal returns that record companies tend to give their artists, this could actually work! I'm definitely going to be purchasing some non-DRM Radiohead goodness and support this initiative.

Nine Inch Nails also announced that they will be splitting from thier label and go completely indie.
