rAge, will take place in Johannesburg from the 3rd to the 5th of October at the Coca-Cola Dome in Northgate, is back for the sixth year in a row.
 
Tickets going on sale soon. Guess folks will have to rush when it opens. :)

Lol, no doubt with a few nasty virus and worm infections as well. I think the idea of the lan is great, just be sure to have proper protection. And an image backup to get you going in case of an emergency.

I wish I could go see this event, it must be pretty amazing. Cape Town has nothing at all. :(

Nope, until they give us a central facility to "advertise" games that we want to play and the IP addresses of host servers and such, they can forget about my support.

I mean, how flipping difficult is it to setup a DNS and a flipping forum like this one on that network?

Pffft.
 
I enjoy rage, it's a nice event, and late at night, there's enough weed to supply a nation of druggies, oh wait.

But I much do prefer the fact that you can do what ever you want, and that there will be enough demo's to satisfy any one.

Rage it some thing of an idea though, The fact that you can have 1800 gamers is all good and well, but what is the point? I mean, it gets loud, you can't play with 1800 gamers at once(that wonder be fun though) and the fact that it's nothing more then a gathering of geeks who, by no means would scare a pink bunny.

But ye, I'm going, and this is for 3 reasons.
1st: I like gaming and besides, I get to see lots of obese kids which seems to make me think that my life aint so bad
2nd: my friends seem to enjoy the event, and it's a perfect opportunity to get drunk, high and game
3rd: the show girls and easy, often pretty and come in the masses, so if i get batted, i just move onto the next one and so on, I mean, i got the whole weekend, so why not

If u go to any lan u need proper protection and backup's and drivers etc but I must say I would be very sad if I had to format my pc at rage that will suck :sick:.My biggest problem is am writing test the week after rage guess who is going to fail his test:(

And yes 1800 ppl cannot play in 1 game, but a 1800 ppl can be on dc++ server.Leeching at 100mbps ftw.
 
i agree about da whole protection ting, i mean is der any software out der dats completely safe against threats dat myt come up at da lan? (backin up all yr stuff takes 4eva)
