It's clear there has been a significant drop in signal as speed test maxed at 500 mps now highest reading about 80 mps surely not what I expected

While 80Mbps is not bad internet, people expect that sort of speed on LTE-A and expect quite a lot better on 5G, as they should. Not unreasonable IMO.

Nope, that isn't a realistic expectation for LTE. The more people connects to it the slower it will become. Expecting a constant 500Mbps from 5G is cool, but there is also an element of realism that applies. The more people connect to the towers the slower it will become, especially with everyone trying to see how fast their downloads can go.

Speeds are somewhat decent still, although where this router is now is not ideal at all.

If we are not throttled or shaped, does anyone know why my download speed would be 90kb/s on a 1.2GB direct download file? This is whilst my speedtest is way over 200Mbps?

I've only used 8GB's so far.

I have also noticed this - may be restrictions from the server hosting the file you are downloading...?

When my 5G is going at full blast, I never seem to get more than 100Mb when downloading from Steam.
