Just received some pictures via whatsapp of a neighbors roof that was blown off early this morning - location somerset west

Heavy snowfalls are likely in the southern mountains. Will cover many mountains all along the coast may even reach Lesotho.

I bought R600 worth of the stuff two days ago and I can't get it to work. It just pinches and the water starts flowing out of the top of the sleeve that's wrapped around the gutter. How have you installed yours? Around the base of the gutter where it flows out or have you have attached it near the top and then let gravity do the rest?

Pull it up higher and use cable ties to secure.

The Heavens over this side of the ancient Namib desert have opened, water the likes of that I have not seen in a decade, so much water that the power lines to the town have tripped and I had to start me genset......

Off course I attribute this to the lack of planes and pollution over the past 90 days and indirectly restoring the balance of the cold fronts, but then that's just me.....

Well supported by other parameters. A typical NW Cape storm, that is going to surprise the forecasters in the next few hours.

@_Gordon, what was that comment you made about those that believe their models in the Covid threads?
The same applies here. The weather forecasters get sucked into their own models, so much so that they forget occasionally to use plain old simple reasoning, common sense and look out the window before just believing the crap on their monitors.

There is more rain coming. It will fall mostly over the mountains, and the Overberg (not so much for the West Coast).

Just after I took this photo, the heavens opened up again, The wind still NW, a good sign that more rain is on the way...

Now to most of you, it looks like a normal puddle, for us up here, WoW! It's like a lake, water in the desert...... Stunning....
