Rain and storm for Cpt

loads of wind coming home on my motorbike today just now CT --> SWest
Felt like i was windsurfing
 
Meh no wind for us. But had one epic thunder-strike at exactly 1am this morning, actually waking me up, but wife and birds outside were all completely shocked at just how loud it was. Even for me from Gauteng, it was louder than what I am used to. I slept like a baby after that.

We were inside, but its like the loudest point of this was right in our neighborhood. Oh the sliding door and window in our bedroom were both halfway open while sleeping for a fresh breeze.

Birds...its the hadidas that sleep in the tree in the back. I hate them, they pooh is a mess all over but they well got upset with the loud noise too
 
Since when has it been raining? I went to close a window now and hear it drizzling on the paving outside.

With WFH I don't pay much attention to the weather as I'm indoors all the time. I usually know if it's raining or going to rain when this thread gets bumped with an update to the first page.
 
i was really expecting a lot more rain today, hardly a drop here in Somerset West all day
