Go take a dip in the river.

Was at the beach at 5am this morning for a walk and it was already filling up by the time we left at 6am. Can't imagine what it looks like now.
With the rest of the hobos?
You won't catch me dead near that river
I can see from here 3 of them sitting there under a tree with their feet in the water.
And I often see hobos doing number ones and twos in the river and some even having baths.
It is even worse further up the river by the Old Bridge tavern where an entire community live under the bridge.

No thanx, I stay far away from it

That section at Old Bridge smells like sewage.

Was pretty horrible around midnight in Kenilworth, as the normal South Easterly wind was completely absent, and there was no turnover of outside air. Some relief around 3am as the wind swung to North Westerly, and cooler onshore air began to circulate. Not too gusty yet, but enough to pre-emptively close the patio door just in case.

Edit: Coastal low developing, and NW wind gusts approaching gale-force at 4:30am. I'm not complaining much, although banging windows don't help sleep...

My laptop also grinded to a halt, I thought it was my internet until I touched my Apple MacAir, I could literally not hold it for more than a few seconds, it was that hot. I shut it down (took 3 minutes as opposed to 10 seconds) and just left it for a few hours until after sunset.

Yeah Lads, we survived it, a day in Hell, will be welcoming the rain later today, or drizzle should I say, and maybe some more drizzle tomorrow

My UPS overheated yesterday and went into lock mode. And it supports all internet, media and PC's in the house. I cannot get it started so 8am on Monday I am in M'Gardens...

By the way 27C again next week Thursday.

My AC also ran for 16 hours...my pre-paid meter is blinking like a disco ball.
Luckily a small split air con in the lounge or bedroom usually consumes around 1200Watts so you're only looking at about R3.00 per hour to help take the edge off.

Nice north wester blowing through my lounge windows now
Loving it
I can see the clouds are starting to form, 2 hrs ago it was blue skies with not a single white cloud
Its now clouding in from the North West

Looking forward to an awesome nights sleep tonight

The cool air this morning is a welcome relief.

The past 2 days rocked our eskom bill with all the aircons running, including the 36k btu monster.
Can agree. Its our highest consumption ever after running all 3 aircons for most of the day and 2 of them throughout the night. Screenshot_20220109-090823_SOLARMAN%20Smart.jpg
