Rain and storm for Cpt

Lucky, We did not have a single drop of rain here in Somerset West :(
I have slept on the lounge floor entire weekend it has been so hot
Just woke up and the bedroom feels good now, looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight
 
It's still a week away, but seeing some ridiculous temperatures being forecasted for Sunday 23 January. Everywhere around Cape Town around 40 degrees it seems. Greyton (where my friends want to go camping) is 43 degrees. Paarl 44 degrees. Even Hermanus showing 42 degrees at this stage, surely not?? This is from YR

Pretty much all the models are showing extreme temperatures next weekend. Not my favourite weather!? See:

Google weather say similar thing. We will get cooked to death again in our own homes.

This is what they're predicting for my side of Scumerset.

Light orographic drizzle started in Kenilworth around 9am. Took the dog for a walk in Rondebosch. Rain got harder. Totally soaked to the skin by 10am. Found 2mm in gauge in Kenilworth when I returned.

Edit: 5.5mm in gauge after lunch.
