In this mornings satellite picture you can see the center of the cutoff low moving over the intersection of the NC, FS & EC. And the incoming front pushing up against it by CPT

Highest include Kimberley (NC) 35mm, Vryburg (NW) 32mm, Taung (NW) 29mm, Vaalharts (NC) 27mm, Fauresmith (FS) 26mm, Bloemfontein (FS) 24mm, De Aar (NC) 24mm, etc.

Light rain also fell around Cape Town, and further showers are likely today, spreading along the southern Cape coast, and reaching Port Elizabeth later.

Highest in the Western Cape were Knysna 85mm, George 75mm, Swellendam 58mm, Plettenberg Bay 42mm, Heidelberg 40mm, Citrusdal 30mm, Riversdale 30mm, Tygerhoek 30mm, Ashton 29mm, Jonkershoek 29mm, Mossel Bay 28mm, Beaufort West 23mm, etc.
Highest in the Eastern Cape were St Albans 35mm, Joubertina 29mm, Addo 18mm, Uitenhage 16mm, etc.
Also of note was Bloemhof (NW) 26mm.

Further rain is likely over areas in the central interior and Eastern Cape coast during today, but nothing for Cape Town for the next 7 days.

Long range forecasts show a powerful storm reaching the SW-Cape late on Fri 1st Jul, producing very strong winds along the coast. Some rain is predicted (much less than the last few storms), but very cold conditions are expected on Sat 2nd, with widespread snow at unusually low elevations overnight into Sun 3rd:
