It solved my issue completely with the dampness in my en-suite, I roll it into the bathroom when I'm finished showing and it dries it out nicely.

I must say the cube design is a bit strange and some of the more traditional units look better imo but none of them are as compact as this one gets when you have it in storage mode, which I will likely do in the summer as then I can just open the windows or use the AC.

Yep the compactness is a huge plus. The Meaco looks good, but this one has better features.
 
Ah you people with your dehumidifiers convinced me to turn on my aircon in dehumidify mode. Seems to use 100-200w on average. Seems ok. Feels colder now, even though I can see temps didnt drop.

I do that in summer. It feels colder because it is easier for your sweat to evaporate in dryer air.

Interesting, have never used this before. Giving it a go now as well - just can't seem to get any washing to dry so hoping this will help at least until the tumble dryer comes back from repairs. Humidity sensor outside is reading 94% at the moment.

I read somewhere thats how it is in summer yes, but in winter higher humidity does the opposite and should make it feel colder. That said, after a while now, it seems to not feel cold anymore. I guess initially it was the wind or moving air but now things feel better. That said, wife convinced me to also turn on the fireplace. I was lazy because usually I do all the work and after being sick my back hurts. So I told her, if she go fetch wood on the stoep and bring it inside, I might be convinced. Didnt take her long to do that.

That's the problem with a regular aircon, to effectively dehumidify they need to cool and the dry mode really only works effectively in higher temeratures (on my previous Samsung this was from around 24C).

The dehumidifier unit I have works well from as low as 5C without cooling the room down.

Our main bedroom humidity already dropped by 4% from 90 to 86. It may take a while but I definitely think it will help a ton. There is a ensuite and a bathroom, all without doors.

ok but I can see humidity already dropped 4% without dropping the temperature in one room?
