What's with Google taking me via the flats and kayelitsha from Somerset West to Fishoek? Yoh Baden Powell is Cray Cray with the wind and that sand in places!

It has quickest route functionality, not safest route.

@genetic can you access the cameras by the Victoria road / N2 crossing in Somerset West? Long distance busses are apparently all standing at the Shell outside Somerset as they cant cross over that intersection.

Very glad I made the decision to come from Hermanus yesterday, the road is going to be a sht show today.

Some more footage of the extreme sea conditions we had on the 16th:

Garage "flooded" (5cm). I cleaned all channels and prepped everything but besides water coming from garage door it seems also coming from the crack on the floor.
We clean it up but after 30 minutes one corner is full of water again.
Worst part is moisture saturation (for tools) and I was painting two doors which are still wet with slimy paint to touch (water based enamel paint)
Still miniscule compared to other people issues.

Last night in Green Point was rough! At times we could even feel the building shaking. The building next door's roof tiles started to blow off and landed in our parking lot. Hit our car, but luckily it's just a few scratches, no big dents.

Our car stood here last night (number 8). I'm surprised no windows were broken.
